HANNA Q DANCE COMPANY
In May of 2013, Johanna LjungQvist-Brinson founded Hanna Q Dance Company, a New York City based, modern-contemporary company which bursts of passion and athletic expression. Since then, Hanna Q Dance Company has been performing in the Tri-state area. Johanna draws from nature and uses its elements to compose dynamic narratives. While she enjoys collaborating with composers and musicians, Johanna has written original music for Hanna Q Dance Company.

The choreography is comprised of technically rigorous movement, derived from Johanna’s background in Dunham technique, as well as partnering at once intricately acrobatic and viscerally human. The dancers express bursts of passion and athleticism, sweeping the audience into a different world full of emotions. The company has performed in venues mostly in NYC, including Dixon Place, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Dance Festival, TADA!Theater, The Actors Fund Arts Center, Green Space, New York Live Arts, The 14th Street Y Theater, NY City Center, The Triskelion Arts, Abrons Arts Center and West End Theater.
